I want to make cakes for my two dr's offices. They both have a wonderful staff and have been very good to my family. One is to be for my family's pediatrician the other for my chiropractor. I can't think of anything clever. They don't have to be huge cakes as they are not large offices, I figure 20-25 servings max. I would like to do something besides a sheet cake if possible. I truly thank them all from my heart but it wouldn't hurt if this would generate soem orders for me. I will have to use pans etc. that I have on hand since I would like to take these with me to appointments on Monday. Any ideas? TIA!

If you want to do a non-decorated non-sheet cake why don't you make something like a round black forest cake, carrot cake or red velvet? Something that wouldn't have to have themed decorations on it but that you could still make look really yummy!

If I were going to make a cake for the pediatricians office I would definately make it a "kid oriented" cake. I am thinking something like the
"little hereos" pan or even just a pumpkin. They will see your talent talk about it and possibly you will receive some orders.
For the Chiropractor I would suggest something more mature... maybe just a simple two layer round with the normal decorative edges and thank you written in the middle. I would think (once again trying to push possible sales) their clientel would be older and more interested in what you could for a mature birthday or holiday gathering. Just my two cents!
Good Luck!

Yes, a regular cake...carrot or such would be nice for the Chiro.

When I saw the question, I immediately thought..sheet cake decorated like a Prescription blank

with the works "ENJOY" in the Rx part..lol

Then I thought oh you can make candy mould with doctor tools or even out of fondant.

But then I read the post...sigh..lol

But, Mommafrogs idea is a good one, let them "TASTE" your goods..you can always show them pictures of your work..lol
