AHi all! I am new to making baked goods for retail. I recently was asked to do mini cupcakes, cake pops, and cake balls for a party. I know there are threads for cake pop pricing, but I was looking for more details on fair pricing. What's a fair basic price? What is a fair more detailed pop price? What if someone wants displays, labels, custom orders, etc?? I don't want to over or under price but I want to get my prices in order because this person is referring me to others and I'd like to be consistent! Thanks much for any advice!!

I charge $2.00 for plain cake pops, $2.75 for more detailed ones or those in a custom order.  If I do something really complicated the price goes upwards of $3.50 per pop, but most people are happy with plain pops.

I buy my sticks/wrapping in bulk.  Any lower not much profit will be made.

If I do a display, I charge $15.00 for the container, $2.00 for the foam to put the pops in and $1-$2 for the ribbon.  Obviously, I have a mark-up!  I don't charge for my labor, as it takes me a long time sometimes, not the same amount of time as an experienced decorator.

No one can answer what YOU should charge. No one knows what similar items sell for in your area. No one knows your skill level. Read Jason's pricing formula. The answer is no different than how to price ANYTHING, be it cupcakes, cake pops or a new Chevy

Norasmom, I'm a little confused by your answer. You don't charge for labor with the cake pops or with the display, or both?
