I have 2 birthday cakes to make this week, and I would like to bake them a few days ahead of time to save myself some time at the end of the week. One is for a party on Sat, the other for a party on Sunday.

If I bake the cakes on Tuesday, let them cool, wrap them in cling wrap and aluminum foil and then freeze them until time to decorate, should they still be moist and taste fine on the weekend?

I've never baked cakes ahead like this, so I'm just a little paranoid about how they'll do.

Thanks for all of the advice and any tips!
