Hi everyone, this is my first post on your lovely forum.  I have recently got really interested in making models from sugarpaste, sugar dough, modelling paste etc and wondered if the models could be frozen to enable me to keep them for a long time.  At the moment my models aren't for eating as they are practice ones which are getting a lot of handling.  I'm really challenging myself with these and would love to keep them without them crumbling and cracking.

Many thanks

If you just leave them out at room temperature, they will dry rock solid and last forever. They won't go bad. Just be careful as they are fragile obviously, and try to keep them away from dust because they are a pain to clean, and light to avoid fading colours.

I just can't see the point of putting them in the freezer, and you may also have problems with condensation forming on them when you take them out.

Thank Dayti.  I won't worry about the freezer then I'll just leave them out to dry and harden.  I'm sure this will be just the first of many posts from me.icon_biggrin.gif
