Drying Fondant Sculpture

What would happen if you put fondant in a gas oven that was turned off at 200 degrees and left it in there for a bit? Would it melt, burn, or get sticky? I want to dry it but not loose its shape.
Straight fondant can melt--it is mostly sugar. I don't put straight fondant in heat. I use a fan and/or a lamp, or just the light in my oven, or better yet, time. A fondant figure can sit and dry for weeks before it's needed.
When I mix fondant and gum paste [or add tylose/cmc/gum tex/gum trag to the fondant], then I'll use heat on it. I use my lowest oven setting [170F] and keep an eye on it so that it doesn't change color.
thanks for the info.....I put it under the fan. It's thicker than I would normally make it. I need it to stand up on its own, thus the thickness issue. So again thanks a lot.
