I have struggled with how to store large cake and cupcake boxes forever.  THey are so dang heavy, floppy, and just awkward.  You cant stack them, you cant stand them on end, etc.  I had just received a new shipment from brp box shop and was frustrated with what to do with them all.  I drew up a sketch and my fiance got to work.

It might be hard to tell from the pic and the glaring overhead light, but its crate type file with 5 dividers. We made it the dimension of the top on my freezer and as tall as the largest box i had was wide.  It works perfect!

That's wonderful! I usually end up keeping mine in the big box they came in...

AIf you stand the larger boxes on end for too long they will start to warp, we just added several extra shelves to a cabinet that was deep and wide enough to store the boxes (folded in half) horizontally.

Where I worked we stacked the packs as high as they would go. Each pack was 100 peices fully wrapped. No issue. And Jason is right they will warp if you leave them standing sideways. Simple solution would be to flip your rack 90degrees.
