AHow many are you making? Use a Rubbermaid underbed storage plastic w lid. The tighter packed the better for storage so the cupcakes don't shift while driving. I made more than 12 dozen last year and fit most in there. Unfortunately I can't remember just how many fit! Good luck! Theresa

just pick up a box from michaels. i don't use a cupcake liner. just nestle the cupcakes brick wall style and they are fine.

the other option is to just take them on a tray or on your cookie sheet, sitting flat in the trunk of your car.

no liner...

There is a place called The Restaurant Supply Store that I get mine from.  I see your in Baltimore, they have a store there.  You have to buy in packs of 10 I believe it is.  They come in 6 ct and 12 ct with the inserts to help with them not moving.  The boxes I use are see through.  Here is their address and hours:

Baltimore

121 Kane Street
Baltimore, MD, 21224 69 Miles M-F 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM
SA 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

You can also get on their site, order and pay and it will be there for you to pick up.  Their website is: http://www.therestaurantstore.com/

But I also do what ellavanilla does and sometimes put them in a box.  Depending on how their decorated.  If you need a little space between them, you can also put a dab of BC on the bottom of the cupcake liner and stick it to a cake board.  Once all the cupcakes are on the cake board, you can slide it into the box.

If you have a Publix (grocery store) by you, or possibly any other grocery store bakery, you can buy cupcake containers from them.  I can get the clear, plastic containers from the Publix bakery for a $1 each, it holds 12 cupcakes.  I like being able to do this, then I don't have to buy in bulk or store them here.  I just buy them when I need them.
