I've been reading and reading and there are so many forums to go through with little time.  Just a quick question and I apologize if its been answered - more than once..

What is the best way to get the fondant to stick to the plastic;... do I put royal icing first?  We are going through a heat wave so I need something that will stay.   Last resort is I just leave the plastic.

I would try either clear corn syrup, just brush a very small amount on, or piping gel. That should help
