I find this annoying, and funny at the same time call my crazy but a competitor of this success is competing with little ole me? We get maybe four orders a month, I'm not doing much advertising until we rent our kitchen space. Question is why is this person copying the things i do?? She never offered dessert cakes until i posted my selection, i will make a design and she will do it a few days later, i offer a discount SHE offers a discount! I make a flavor combination she has NO where on her site. She offers the flavor i just created the next day. What is going on here she is far more success then me the little home bakery.

Coincidence?

I doubt it. I had a "customer" ask me very aggressively about how I make my cupcakes stands, what materials I use and where to obtain them. On one of her emails, she forgot to erase her sig and I googled her and she has a high end storefront in CA and had competed on Cupcake Wars.

I had a storefront bakery in AZ steal about 10 pictures from my website and present them as their own work on theirs.  When I complained, the owner got mad at me because a friend of mine posted that the pics were mine on their facebook. She was especially upset because they were opening a second location and I "had a lot of gall jeopardizing their reputation".

AI'd offer some kind of really gross flavor combo just as a joke and then laugh when her many many more customers think she's lost her mind!

AOh howsweet, how dare you! The nice thing to do would have been to offer MORE photos, and help promote her new location! Kinda selfish, if you ask me. ;-) People are amazing.

A lot of customers does not necessarily mean that a business is successful. For example, if she is pricing below market value and using a lot of discounts/Groupon-type deals she will get a ton of traffic and lots of revenue, but all that cash will be spent on her employees, suppliers, and overhead with nothing left for herself or her business.

Well shoot, I guess so then. I guess whatever you're doing is appealing to her, and I'd take it as a compliment too, to a degree. Outright copying you and stuff like that is kind of lame though.

I went back and looked at the screen shots and they are in Yuma.  I assume they have two locations, but when I tried to google them, I couldn't find two or even an official website. Then I looked more closely at the two addresses on the website and it looked like maybe the cake business was working out of a cafe and a cake supply store - who knows?? Anyway, sending you a pm.

That's got to be a song reference? I only know who Rick Ross is because I did a birthday cake for a party where he was performing. I finally found the video of the party to see if my cake was on it and now i have "I woke up in a new Bugatti" stuck in my head. haha!
