I having trying with no avail to find the same size cupcake liners that my local bake shop uses. My standard cups look tiny compared to theirs and its hardly fair for me to charge the same price (even though mine taste better icon_wink.gif

Cupcake liners from the bake shop...

My standard cupcake liner...

Liners I ordered online more jumbo size...

Liners from the grocery store (closest to the right size)...

Does anyone know where I can find these liners?? I live in Canada but I don't mind ordering online if shipping isn't horrible.

I see 4.5, 5, 5.5, and 6  inches. What size are you after?

There. Their. They're not the same.

I hope I die before "your" becomes the official contraction of "you are."

Why are you trying to find the same size liners?

In Australia, we measure them across the base first, then the height.

So, standard cupcakes are 50mm across the base, but you can get ones a smidge bigger at 55mm.

And you can also buy slightly deeper ones too.

So, I would advise measuring across the base, and then the height, and look online for a cupcake liner supplier who also lists these figures. They might also have an identifying stock number. Here we have number like 500, 700, 440 and so on, and each has its own specific measurements.

Be careful though, as SOME wider based ones will not fit into your standard cupcake pans for baking.

Hope this helps.

I am looking for the top ones the 5.5 inch ones. The problem is that these are not jumbo liners, they will still fit in a standard cake pan they are just taller not wider.

And Jason to answer your question, I am looking for the same size liners so that I can be competitively priced with other cupcake business for the same size cupcakes. People won't pay for my little ones when they find out there is another place that sells bigger cupcakes for the same price

What size are the competitions across the base?

They will if you offer a better quality product. Maybe run a few specials. With each additional dozen, they earn a cupcake...or similar.

So why not offer larger cupcakes? The cost difference between a 5.5" and a 6" cupcake is minimal.

The other question you need to ask yourself is if you really want to target customers who shop primarily based on unit price. What are the competitive advantages you have over the other cupcake businesses in town?
