Hello, I'm new to making cakes. I just had a order today for my second wedding cake. Most I do are small 2 layers cakes at the most. This one looks like the photo below but she is asking for 5 layers instead of 3. She also wants real flowers but i'm sure she can purchase them. Anyone know what I should quote her for this cake.?

Did you happen to do a search on pricing cakes? This subject has been beat to death, and it is easy to be oversimplified and if it isn't it is easy to get carried away...  If you would do a little research, you can find tons of information, but if you would like some clarification, we will be happy to help.

Layers? Do you mean tiers?

There are actually hundreds of pricing threads here on CC - and more every day.

No one can tell you how much to charge for a cake. You need to do the costing out yourself.

This topic has been discussed extensively. Use the search box and type in "how to price cakes" and learn for yourself how to do the math. Knowing how to price will give you confidence and is far better than returning each time to ask the same question.

Also make sure you are compliant with food safety laws in your area, some municipalities require a license and/or an inspection before you can sell food to the public.

Good luck! The people on CC are a very friendly bunch; they've just hit overload on pricing questions!
