This past weekend, I made a b-day cake for one of my sisters.  I covered it with marshmallow fondant just so the decorating would be easier.  All six sisters were together, along with our parents, and when it came to cutting the cake...that dang fondant just didn't cut nice.

So I need to know if there is a secret to getting nice cuts from cakes covered with fondant.  No one liked the fondant anyway, but I had hoped it could have looked nice when serving.  TIA

It was probably the knife. A sharp knife works better than a serrated knife.

That is good to know!  We were at rental cabin for the weekend and just used what utensils were there; it could have been a serrated knife that was used.  Thank you!!thumbs_up.gif
