What Is The Best Way To Attach A Gumpaste Bow To The Side Of A Cake?

It will be in the middle of the tier not resting on the lower tier. I did this before and it was a pain in the rear.
fondant covered or b/c ? Melted chocolate for fondant covered cake. Can use thin skewer to help hold on b/c covered cake( of course put b/c blob and then bow using skewer. If it is not big, then toothpicks will hold it also. hth
Thanks Icer101, I'm covering the cake in bc but the bow will be attached to a ribbon of fondant. So should I use melted chocolate? I did stick a couple of toothpicks in it to secure it better too.

ok, so you can attach the bow to the ribbon of fondant with the melted chocolate. Hold it until secure. Also , it wouldn,t hurt to use the toothpicks for more security. hth
