I have always made my cakes 4 inches or taller so I am a bit confused on how to figure out servings for a cake that is going to have 2 inch tall layers?  Common sense tells me I will get half the servings *however* I thought I read once that that is not true?  Any help would be great!

Well... if you follow the same cutting pattern (1"x2") you'd get the same servings, however 2" tall cakes are usually cut 2"x2"x2".
