AHow much should I charge for this cake??
ASheesh, another "How much should I charge?"thread.
Not more than $29.99, surely. I mean, if you want to make a little pocket money that sounds about right.
Duplicate thread. See: http://cakecentral.com/t/760403/need-help-on-pricing-please-dont-want-to-underprice
Also:
First of all, Cake Central The Website is not going to give business advice. We regularly promote posts, classes and tutorials created by the community covering all sorts of topics, and the best we can offer is to "sticky" threads at the top of the forums for topics that come up regularly that have been answered by the community. THERE HAS BEEN PRICING THREADS STICKIED SINCE 2007. Some read them, most don't. It won't, never will, and is NOT INTENDED TO PREVENT new people from joining and posting questions here, regardless of how many times that questions has been asked in the past.
Second, the goal is to be inclusive of EVERYONE in the cake community, and if asking how to price a cake breaks the ice and encourages new people to join and participate in the forums, then we have achieved our goal.
Snarky posts from this point forward on pricing threads will be deleted and the members posting the snark will start racking up infractions. Get enough infractions and you will be banned.
We ask the community to start flagging snarky posts so we mods can deal accordingly.
If pricing threads bother you or you have nothing nice to say, then don't open, read or respond to them.
