Selling cookies for bouquets question

This is my first post!!! YAY!!!

Been baking for awhile, just started a small business and trying to get myself out there. I had a florist approach me about baking chocolate chip cookies to incorporate into flower arrangements. This would be an ongoing thing, and I'm going to practice freezing vs. providing fresh to see how much of a taste difference, because of the sporadic-ness (did I just make that word up?) of when she would need the cookies and me being able to bake on the spot (I still have a full time job, so I'm trying to work out the kinks of long term commitments and my time).

My question! I've never done something like this before, so how do I charge? If they needed three dozen chocolate chip cookies from me every week, would I charge what I would for someone just wanting a one time order of 3 dozen chocolate chip cookies? Or does price change because I'm giving these cookies to someone else to resell?

Thanks! icon_smile.gif

I think this is the hardest way to make a profit since they will expect a low price to be able to markup the cookies and make a profit themselves. Cost out your ingredients and make sure to time how long it takes you to make the cookies also your water & electricity in there. If it is just choc chip cookies maybe you could get some ready made batter that you could simply bake and then perhaps you'll have a chance to make some money.
