How Do I Stack Cake Like This?

Hi, I have a client who wants a cake like the following picture, two love hearts.
He wants it to be stacked like the hearts in his engagement invitations. But I'm worried that the cake underneath with crumble and the cake on top will crack.
Any ideas :)

There was an episode of Cake Boss where Buddy made a cake with two hearts.
He made two hearts and stuck a wedge of cake under the one that was leaning on top of the other to support it.
It's season 4 episode 13 if you're able to watch it.
