I work out of my home, so that's where I do all of my tastings at as well. I keep my computer handy so that I can pull up my website for pictures, take down information, or print out an order form right on the spot. I like to have a receipt book around too in case someone is ready to put down a deposit. If you have business cards, keep a stack of those out where the client can see them and grab a few.

I have a licensed home bakery, so my tastings are held at my house. I have books and magazines with cake pictures to look at. I also have 2 photo albums of pictures of cakes I have done out. The license for my bakery and my knot and wedding wire awards. I have a note pad and pen for notes and a contract printed in case the brides decides to book on the spot (I don't have the contract out because I don't want to look presumptuous).

I also set up decorated cake dummies on the island in my kitchen for display.
