Hi all,

I am a member of a cake club over in the UK & this month the theme of the cakes is USA related. I love to make cakes that are different, so I'm wondering if any of you lovely members on here would be willing to share some recipes on here?

I tend to make my cakes from scratch, as we don't have as much variety of box mixes here.

Thanks in advance icon_biggrin.gif

I love the "surprise inside" cakes like this:

"Flag on top made with berries" cakes are popular:

Or there's the cake shaped like the US:

and if you really wanted to make it fancy you could do gumpaste (sugarpaste) landmarks: golden gate bridge, Alamo, etc.

Thank you. There are some fab ideas there. I forgot to look on the 'I am baker' blog.
