Hi, I am needing help pricing per slice. I did my first wedding cake 15 years ago for $.50/slice because it was my first wedding cake and did not have pictures to be able to show the client. I have been researching and it seems the average cost is $4/slice. But when recently pricing a cake to serve 300, I had a hard time charging $900 dollars.... please help

I saw the pictures of your cakes, and you are worthy of at least $4.00/slice.  Don't feel badly for charging for your talent!  Sometimes it's hard to throw out a $900 number, but that really is market value for wedding cakes. It's actually on the low end for 300 people.  Not being wealthy myself, I understand that many purchasing a cake for this price would see it as expensive, but talent and quality cost money. Don't undervalue yourself because you are worried about people's budget.
