Chocolate Piano Topper

Thread Starter

Hello Everyone! I was wondering if anyone knows how to make a Chocolate Piano Topper. I need it for my parents birthday cake and don't know where to begin! The cake will be frosted with stabilized whipped cream so chocolate seems to be the better option than fondant (also my parents wants any edible arrangement be chocolate!) Thank you!

Use modeling chocolate and mold it like you would fondant.

Hello manddi! Thank you for you reply! Would modeling chocolate hold well on stablized whipped cream? I found a tutorial on how to make a beautiful piano out of royal icing but wasn't sure if it would hold sinceDC has been having some odd weather lately....

I would put a cake board or something underneath it.  Don't completely cover with fondant just enough to create a nice looking base for your topper.

I would also recommend modeling chocolate, great idea with the board under it or something as auntginn mentioned. Modeling chocolate is easy, it taste good and is easy to work with. Keep us posted on what you decide.good luck.
