Hi,

I have kneaded my "homemade" fondant pretty well. It is not MMF. But everytime I roll it out, it breaks!

What should I add to it?

Glucous?

Glycerin?

Tylose Powder?

More powdered sugar???

I have all those, just want to add the right thing. SOMEONE please advise! Much appreciated!

When you say breaking do you mean as in Hard so it breaks or tearing because it is too soft.

If it is breaking because it is too hard, you need to soften it so glycerin or shortening should help.  If it is the opposite you may need to add some ps and let it set up longer.

AIf you JUST made it, it needs to set for a day before you can use it.

I think auntginn is right, I may need more ps because when I was making the fondant, I stopped putting in more ps as my fondant was nice and soft. I used half of what the recipe called ps for. I will try kneading more in.

NjSugarmama: i let it sit overnight.
