Can anyone tell me what's the black decoration on the bottom of this 2 tier cake? I cannot figure out what it's supposed to be.

It's supposed to be the turrets on a castle, I think.

I don't know if "turret" is the right word...It's those notches on the wall of a castle.

I would use the "frill cutter" that looks like that, or just roll a strip and use a square shaped cutter to cut little bits out of it.
