Hi, i need to make a number 50 cake for about 50 - 60 people, could you guys help with me with the pan sizes that i'd need to make the number 5 and 0. I was thinking of baking them in either a rectangular or oval shaped cake and then carving the number's out, but am sure sure how big or small a pan i'd need to make the cakes for a crowd of 50 - 60 people. Please help!

I haven't done single numbers like that  but it seems to me that to do a 5 and a 0 to serve 50-60 it would have to be HUGE.  How about doing two 9 by 13 cakes and on top of one put a 5 and the other a 0.  A double layer 9 by 13 serves 50 wedding size slices so your two 9 by 13's would get you 50 servings plus the additional from the numbers on top so the slices could be smaller, especially where the numbers were.  Hope this makes sense.

Just a thought. if there are 60 people all wont eat cake. from my experience, these figures serves about 25 pcs each (coffee size. th e nos. are about 14" in height. if you dont want to use the  no. 5 and No. o pans you can make  15x13 rectangular pans and 0579b342_modulescopperminealbumsuserpics56121numbers.jpegcut out the the numbers
