I''m making some blueberry fondant cupcake toppers and am wondering if anyone has been able to get a good blueberry color?

I tried blue with black and added a little purple, but it still isn't right.

Any ideas??

Thanks

Is the colour coming out too saturated and bright for your liking? If you want to neutralize it a little bit, you could try adding a very small amount of orange if it's blue, or yellow if it's violet.

AYes! I want it to look more natural and not so fake! I'll try the orange -- thank you! :)

Black will suck the life out of a color, or grey it. Too keep a color saturated or 'colorful' - always use *color* to make it darker - not black.

Complimentary colors (opposites, on the color wheel) will tone each other down. If your Blue is too bright, add a little orange / Purple - add yellow / Green - add red, and vice versa.

Hope this helps!
