I have an event in a about week and a customer is requesting that I top some desserts with edible gold leaves. The customer requested for leaves like this: http://www.fancyflours.com/product/Edible-Gold-Leaf-Petals-150-mg-box/s

Have any of you bought this product from this website or have bought leaves/petals similar to this on another for a cheaper price? I have found various of other "gold leaves" in sheet form? If I were to buy those, would I be required to cut leaves out of those sheets? Those seem to be cheaper but the pictures that correspond with the products always look like plain gold sheets..? ex: 1, 2, 3, 4

I keep looking at that picture trying to see the "leaves" or the "petals", but to me they kind of just look like randomly torn pieces. Anyone else think they actually look like they have a leaf shape?

You could buy sheets and just use the tweezers to tear it into pieces that look just like that.

They are just little torn pieces. They don't mean they are shaped like petals or leaves when they use that terminology. It's not possible to shape them into anything at all.

I represent the company (EasyLeafProducts.com) whose edible gold and edible silver products are sold at Fancy Flours.  I wanted to say that I highly recommend  you purchase the petals instead of leaves since your customer is asking for them.  Leaves are typically used to cover an entire piece of food. The petals are much easier to work with and the bamboo tweezers make it super simple to place the petals exactly where you want them so that no product is lost in the decorating process.  Please feel free to message me for any further questions:  [email protected].  Good luck!

Thank you everyone!! I didn't even know that there were replies to this thread. I wish I had checked back on it months ago... I ended up buying the "leaves" from fancy flours and the client was satisfied.
