Cake dowels!!

Hi, I have ordered some cake dowels but both ends are rounded. Obviously the top will be levelled off for the cake board to sit on but do I need to do this for the bottom half or can this stay rounded?

I'd level off both ends of the dowels so they sit flat on the board. I've never seen rounded ones, that sounds like a bad idea.

Agree, cut them flat.

Where in the devil did you get those from?  Those are NOT cake dowels.  I agree w/the others, cut both ends level.
