hi everyone... ok so this weekend I'm making my moms 50th birthday cake and she ONLY likes pastry pide. My question, I really want to use a LOT of gumpaste flowers all over. I know that using fondant with whipped cream is a bad idea, so, will my gumpaste flowers get ruined? will they melt?

And any suggestions on getting those dreaded airbubbles out when trying to smooth out pastry pride would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance.

I truly think you will be fine. I would not use FONDANT FLOWERS. Gumpaste flowers are harder. hth
