So i finally made the Rolled chocolate cookies, i got the recipe from Kitchen gifts site. The cookies taste good, not too sweet, but just not chocolately. I used Hershey's cocoa unsweetened, i couldn't find the special dark cocoa.
Has anyone used Baker's baking chocolate for this? i'm wondering if it'll work if i grind it down to dust? Im also considering going to the cake/bake shop and buying the chocolate they sell. they are a bit pricey though.
any suggestions? other recipes? thoughts?

thanks!
Kat

When I made them I used Nestle Toll House cocoa powder, it's 100% cocoa not a dutched powder(no added alkalai) and Hershey syrup instead of the coffee or chocolate liquer. That helped to boost the flavor somewhat.
Also I find if you wet the cocoa instead of just putting it in with the dry ingredients, you get a darker dough and richer flavor.
Hope that helps some...

I'm not entirely sure, but you ciould try adding some Lorann chocolate flavor oil. Let us know what you come up with.
