I BOUGHT SOME BUTTERCREAM ICING FROM SAMS ALMOST 2 WEEKS AGO. I DECIDED TO START USING THEIR ICING FOR WHEN I MAKE FONDANT CAKES BECAUSE ITS CHEAPER THAN I CAN MAKE IT AT HOME. IT IS ABOUT 80 CENTS A POUND. I ASKED THE LADY HOW LONG IT STAYS FRESH FOR AND SHE SAID SEVERAL WEEKS. AND I SAID "OKAY I'LL GO STRAIGHT HOME AND PUT IT IN THE FRIDGE" AND SHE SAID "OH NO IT DOESNT HAVE TO GO IN THE FRIDGE" WELL I THOUGHT SHE WAS CRAZY BECAUSE I DIDNT THINK ICING COULD STAY FRESH FOR WEEKS ROOM TEMP. SO I PUT IT IN THE FRIDGE. DO YOU THINK IT IS STILL GOOD? I MEAN, IT STILL TASTE GOOD TO ME LOL

Read the label... it's good for something like 8-9 months (or longer) when stored at room temp.

AThere was just someone on here asking the same question last week, they were able to find an expiration date on the container somewhere and it was months away however if it were me I would be freezing it in small amounts that I could easily take out to use.

When I worked at Walmart after the bucket was opened it could be used for up to one month. It does not need to be kept in the fridge.

What does it say?  It should be on the line following Net Wt.
