Has anyone got a tried and tested recipe for a sponge cake that can be used for a tiered wedding cake, that can be baked and frozen in advance.
I have always made my sponge cakes fresh maybe a day or two in advance.
I will be trying my own recipe i use and freezing it today. Seen as it is World Bake Day. lol. But wont be defrosting for 2 weeks as that is how far in advance i will be wanting to bake and freeze the required cakes. For using in my 6 tier wedding cake.
Looking to try a different recipe than my own to test at the same time so can compare.
