Hi there, if I cover a cake with cream cheese frosting and place figures and accents made out of modeling chocolate directly on the frosting, will the accents soften or melt?  Can I put the whole thing in the fridge with the accents on there?  Or will that ruin the accents?

It's more the moisture in the fridge that causes modeling chocolate decorations to droop or get soggy, less the contact with frosting (unless the frosting in covered in condensation, which is not a good time to add decorations of any sort). I would recommend making your modeling chocolate bits in advance then putting them on the cake just before it is due to go on display or within a couple of hours of show time.
