AHi everyone I have a question about selling some of my equipment. I posted in the decorating forum then thought this one might be more appropriate. Where would be the best place to try and sell it? Would you use a local site like Craigslist or does anyone know of a site where individuals can sell the equipment they don't need. I have a few expensive items like a pro cake stackers system, airbrush, pans....I don't know if it would be practical to try eBay with shipping and fees. Thanks for any advice..

i have found pro equipment on craigslist.  Unfortunately there have been a couple of bakeries that have gone out of business and have advertised first their 'business' for sale, but then a equipment sale.  If you have larger items you might want to list them with a restaurant supply store.  Many will buy larger pieces or lots of smaller equipment if you don't want to mess with it.  IMHO  getting into Ebay with boxing and shipping is more trouble than it is worth. You may also want to print up a flier of available items and target the local places that have Wilton classes.  I'd suggest having a one-day or weekend Bakery Yard Sale and get the stuff moved out cash and carry.

AYou could also split it up, and ship the stuff that you still have the boxes to. I have a corner in my laundry room dedicated to empty, flattened boxes for things I think the novelty will wear off of. Like my cuisinart ice cream maker... It is so small and so loud, that the box immediately got taken out of the recycling and went to the "pile".
