Nutella buttercream lost its flavor - Page 2

It was still good! I mixed one (brand-new) jar of Nutella with one cup of salted butter and let the mixer run a few minutes until they were well blended. I then added 2 teaspoons of vanilla. After that, I put in 4 cups of powdered sugar, on at a time, mixing after each cup. Then I blended in 2 tablespoons of milk. It was too thick, though. Next time, I'll add more milk.

Good luck!

Thanks for the tip EMETZ74!  I wound up using it as straight filling between layers of a sculpted cake this weekend so it was fine (no bc added!)  But the whole jar of Nutella is more than I would have thought to add, so it's good to know!

To get a better flavoured nutella u need to add more hazelnuts, make a praline with roasted hazelnuts then pop in blender to make praline paste. Mega hazelnut flavour, add to your buttercream and this should improve the flavour no end
you can add more or less to taste.

Just add a little hazelnut flavouring to your Nutella buttercream.
