How Much Cake Would You Bake For 7 Dozen Cake Pops? Help Please!

I have to make 7 dozen cake pops.  Those who make them regularly can you give me some advise to how much cake to bake for them?   I'd rather have too much than not enough, but not a ton.

Mine weigh 22g when they are portioned into the balls. That includes the weight of the frosting but I don't add much to my cake crumbs because it is really moist anyway. So 22g x 84 = 1848g / 66oz / just over 4lbs of cake. So do a bit less, add in your frosting, and you should have about enough, I think...!

I make my cake pops from cake mix. So 1 cake mix along with 1 tub of frosting which is around 2 cups gives me around 46-48 cake pops. I make my cake balls from a tablespoon. Hope this gives you an idea if you are making it from a cake mix.
