Hello everyone :)

I want to make some coffee flavoured frosting for my chocolate mud cupcakes.

I usually use American buttercream for all my cakes as it crusts well for putting under fondant but it is very sweet so I'm concerned that it may not flavour well.

I suppose the 'crusting' side of things doesn't really matter when frosting cupcakes.

For my cupcakes, I need a frosting that will flavour well (I'm planning on using some espresso powder dissolved in vanilla extract as flavouring) and also be 'shelf stable'.

What is the best type of frosting to use in this case?

Thanks in advance xx

AUse whatever frosting you like. ALL frostings are easily flavored.
