I'm making a cake for mothers day and I've perused some recipes but cannot for the life of me think of an adequate type of frosting. It will be a white cake, and I'm using fresh berries (strawberries, raspberries, blue berries) as the filling and as decoration. A lot of websites call for a whipped cream but my mom doesn't really fancy that in cakes. . .Would cream cheese or buttercream frosting be good? Any other types of frosting?

Swiss Meringue Buttercream (SMBC) would be great.
