AHi there. Want to make 3 silver horizontal band around My white fondant covered 8 inch cake. Should I use the wax paper method and put 3 grey and 3 white and stick all of those onto cake and then paint 3 silver? Or should I just put 3 bands on wax paper and stick to cake? OR forget the wax paper idea and just stick 3 bands in and paint them silver (using the cardboard method) Any help Wid be great'

It depends on what look you want. Do you care if the bands stick out from the cake, or do you want a smooth side? I'd probably use the wax paper method and use alternating stripes of grey and white to get a smooth edge. I've never heard of the cardboard method. Good luck!
