I have been asked to make a watermelon cake for this weekend for a little girls birthday. She wants all buttercream. HOW do I get green butter cream on the sides and red/pink on the top without it looking terrible where the two colors meet? She wants it to look like someone sliced a watermelon round, so no borders around the top or bottom edge.
Would it be better to ice all in white and use food color spray on the sides and center of the top and make a stencil for the seeds? I don't have an airbrush.
She also requested if I could to take a "slice" out of the watermelon and have it sitting to the side decorated. How do I do that without the whole thing falling apart on me?
I am taking ALL Suggestions! Any help is greatly appreciated!
