Decorating By samcredible Updated 2 May 2013 , 1:38pm by samcredible
AHi I'm new to the blog. I want to make a small Cake and some cupcakes was wondering if I can use the same buttercream recipe for my crumb coat as well as for my final coat.
I'm going to use the dream buttercream recipe that I found on here. Can someone please help thank u in advance
Yes..use the same recipe. If your bc is stiff...you may want to add a little more liquid for your crumb coat layer.
Yes. It's what I do virtually all of the time. Apply a thin coat to seal in the crumbs. Then refrigerate until firm or crusted, depending on your frosting. (I use SMBC and don't know if dream buttercream is crusting or not). Once set, apply your final layer of frosting.
