AI have been asked to make a cake with 4 of the Advengers' heads on each corner. I was wondering if I outline the heads onto a piece of wax paper in royal icing and let it dry, will it come off easy (stay together) to place on cake? I don't know of any other medium to use to do this. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

Wilton's Color Flow Technique would work.  Just make sure you give your creation several days to dry and then very carefully peel the wax paper off as your characters will be fragile.

Since colorflow breaks down when in contact with moisture, another option might be to use candy melts.  A little more akward to work with, but sturdier in the end.

I made mine from frosting sheets.  Then cut them out and put them on fondant.  Made them pop a little more than flat on the cake.

They are fun cakes to make.  Good luck.

ADid you free hand them? I'm not great at free handing things like this. If I could see through the sheets it would help.

AHey there, I meant to post after I finished the cake. The Royal icing worked like a charm. I couldn't have been happier. Thanks you to everyine that had other ideas. I will try them next time to see what works other than RI. I will try and get a picture up as soon as I figure it out.
