Stacking A 4 Tier Wedding Cake Please Help
Decorating By nikki54321 Updated 1 May 2013 , 7:54pm by CWR41
hi everyone
wondered if anyone could help
a lady has asked me to make her wedding cake, its the first ever wedding cake i would have ever made. she wants 4 tier square 12' fruit 10' plain 8' and 6' lemon. she would like 4 roman pillars between each cake but the problem is i have never used pillars before only dowls and cake boards stacked on top of each other.
i have looked on the internet and read that there is interlocking pillars. i like the sound of these as it sounds safer for the cake not to fall and building it at venue.
has anyone ever used these or what shall i use?
all details of how to use and stack the cake will be so much help
thanks
hi thanks for the website just had a look and it shows the bottom plate ontop of the cake. as the cake is going to be plain do i have to use this or can i put the pillars straight into the cake without it? this may sound like a stupid question but as i say this is my first time making a wedding cake
If not using double-plate construction, you can use single or push-in:
