Hi to all,

There are so many professional, talented bakers and pastry chefs on this site; however, there are also many beginners and hobby bakers that only have their personal money and pure heart involved in their cakes (that includes me).  The only people that will see and/or comment on their efforts are the six kids at the birthday party.  The only person brave enough to critique the cake would be their husband.

I see in thread after thread that many people are on this site for hours and are addicted to checking out the many lovely cakes.  I also see that there are a number of cakes that have become "Favorites" with no comments to state what made that cake a favorite.

I would like to offer a CHALLENGE.  If you take the time to view a cake or make it a favorite then take a second to say a word or two.  "Great work,"  "Nice colors,"  "Very creative,"  "Unique design,"  etc.  I'm always pleased to hear from a CC member, see their genuine appreciation or kindly directed instruction in the comments section.  It does not mean the cake is perfect or ready for a magazine cover but it does mean that there was something "right" about the cake.  Some of you do this already and I'm sure it is greatly appreciated.

I know that many of you view hundreds of cakes each day and this would not be possible, but I do believe that most of us could take a second to encourage another baker.  We hobby bakers are always so thrilled to hear from other bakers.  It's like getting an autograph from a rock star!
