Please Help! I'm newer to fondant & gumpaste work, but I love it! My nephew requested I make home a teenage mutant ninja turtle cake for his birthday. I've seen tons of awesome figures made, and my trial run went pretty well, but I'm a perfectionist and saw some AMAZING figures on cakes here. I haven't been able to find any tutorial on moldin the turtles, but was hoping someone here might know where to find one, or even be able to help me but telling me what works for them. Thanks sooooo much in advance!!!

I see a lot of cakes with just the turtles heads on the cake can be really cute.

Thank you all so much for your help! Here's my trial run. Not horrible for my first try (ever) making fondant figures, but I'm overly critical of my own work, so I'll keep trying! icon_wink.gif

Stephanie, Just so you know you did a great job on your cake. I have no doubt you can do any design you put your mind to.thumbs_up.gif

Wow I'm impressed. Great job that cake is so very cute.
Lmao I just noticed all the cake stuff in the background of your picture , looks like a true cakers counter. Again great job.

Haha, thanks! I have to quick take a pic before my daughter can get too close! Lol! I did cakes for my nephews 1st birthday, and in a split second (while my husband watched her) she made a spoon mark in my perfectly smoothed buttercream frosted baseball! icon_sad.gif So now I take pictures first and clean second. Haha! icon_wink.gif

Oh I'm just usually wanting to be done once the cake is done and I always am guilty of not immediately doing my cake making dishes. ...hehe my hubby is such a sweetheart that he usually feels for me and all the time that I put into a cake that most of the time he does the clean up. I can imagine with a little one you need to take a picture asap
Again nice job.

Wow! Can I borrow him?! icon_wink.gif I admit, after all the time I spend, the tools usually sit for a day, or two, until I'm motivated enough to put them away! :-0 thanks again for the help and support!
