Can I Cover A Frozen Cake Wjth Fondant

AI'm baking my cake tommrow and freezing it for 5 hours then going to frost it and I was going to core the top with fondant and the bottom( it's. circle cake) so it will be 2 peices but you won't notice because I'm having a border on the top can I put the fondant on it while its frozen?

AI wouldn't personally because as the cake defrosts the moisture from it will make the fondant sticky and wet ;)

AIf I took my covere fondant cake out of the fridge to transport a hour drive away and the heat in the car will be on will it affect my vake

AHave you put fondant covered cakes in the fridge before? As long as the cake is in a box and not directly near the heat sources, it should be ok, could you not turn the heat down so it's not so warm in the car though?

I wouldn't. If it's even slightly humid, the fondant will get sticky as soon as you put it on the cake. Just turn the heat in your car to a little lower and wear some extra clothes!
