Anyone, every one. I need your ideas on getting a very glittery Silver finish on a cake. The is going to be white fondant with blue and silver swirls.
1. How can I get silver swirls??? I want it to really stand out.
Also I need ideas on this... The cake was just going to be white with Blue swirls. I already covered it in the white fondant. Then the Customer said she wanted it Blue and Silver. I suggested to leave it white and just do the swirls in blue and silver but I think it'll look better if the cake was blue and the swirls a Sparkling silver.
2.SO.. what can I do to get the white fondant blue??

to get the whole cake blue can you airbrush it blue. as for doing the swirls, either airbrush them also or use luster dust. Just a thought

You can paint the swirls silver using lustre dust mixed with a bit of Vodka. Then paint it on with a small artists brush.

You can also mix the luster dust with lemon extract to make a paint. It smells really good while you're working! icon_smile.gif
