AI'm airbrushing some royal icing roses for a wedding cake for Saturday. I need lavender and a darker purple like a plum. I have Americolor airbrush colors in Lavender sheen and violet. The colors look appropriate in the bottle and mostly right when I squeeze them out. Yes, they were well shaken. When I spray it on, they are blue, not kinda blue, I mean very blue. I sprayed it on a rose, wax paper, and cardboard.....it all looks blue. Not even a slight bit lavender or violet looking! I cleaned my airbrush three times, with water and vodka, no help. I'm in a panic. I have less than half a bottle of the pale pink sheen so I don't even know if I would have enough to mix it. Please help!

I discovered this also tonight. I wanted my cake the pretty lavender colour like the bottle suggests...but no....I now have a blue cake. I'm pretty much hoping it will miraculously turn purple overnight.... :-/

You shouldn't have to do this, but maybe put in a drop or two of red and try again??
