I make modeling chocolate from candy melts and corn syrup.  I don't have a recipe I follow, I just mix a little in at a time until I reach the consistency I'm looking for.  Sorry icon_sad.gif.

I only use Merkins brand or Appeals, never never Wilton.  To color it, I just add candy oil food color to the melted chocolate.  Do not use a water base food color or you will have a mess, must be an oil base color.

I do use Wilton candy melts, come in almost every color you could ever want!  12 oz bag of candy melts and a little less than 1/3 c light corn syrup. I have a step-by-step recipe with pictures posted on my website if you want to see pics. :)  Love modeling chocolate! Have fun!!
