AI was wondering how to attach the jewel wraps to fondant as a border. Since it is a hard surface, what will make it stick yet still be edible?

AAh-ha! Now I know what you mean. There is a photo of a square cake with pink bands & bows & crystal bands. They will stick right on the cake but that would get messy. I like putting a fondant band behind them. On this cake, we wanted the band to show but you could use a small silver one so it blends.

Athank you all for your help! I ended up using a thin layer of royal icing but it's nice to know the other methods too.
