Hi all

Please could you advise on how much you might charge for a bride/groom cake topper.

Bride in her dress and a veil

Groom in his running kit with suit jacket over the top.

Also making a fruit cake 6" in height and 6" in depth (Round cake but high in depth) - iced and ribbon around the edge. What would you price for this?

I particularly need help with the bride/groom as i can work out the fruitcake price but any advice most welcome.

thanks all

Fliss

AHow many hours will it take you to make the topper, and how much will ingredients cost?

To be honest, at this stage I have no idea....I don't want to charge the client for more time becase it will no doubt take me longer than someone else, I want to charge them for the time it should actually take - hope that makes sense!  I was hoping someone who has made these before has a rough rate that they would charge. I know to make them out of clay they range from £60.

If it is 60 out of clay, I would think fondant would be higher than that, guessing that clay is cheaper than fondant.

In the uk a 6inch fruit cake would cost around £40!! I would charge £80 for bride and groom ;-)
